We are looking for a Documentation Lead to join the team for a Coastal Histories Project.
This is a full-time position on a 6 month contract, (extendable if required), based in the Kerala Museum in Kochi. The Documentation Lead will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the research resources of the Museum. They will conduct field work, write, edit and work with the Programme Co-ordinator to implement projects at the Museum.
To undertake and lead documentation programmes and collate primary and secondary source material acquired
To organise, catalogue and annotate the material
To assist with planning, and curation of exhibits and publications of the documentary material.
To contribute ideas and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure successful implementation of the projects
A Post Graduate Degree in humanities or social sciences is a minimum requirement
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Familiarity with the history of Kerala
Ability to articulate ideas and write them for museum audiences.
Ability to draw attention to multiple aspects of a topic from diverse sources for general audiences
Experience studying & working both in Kerala and outside
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a dynamic self motivated and responsible working style
Full time position based in Kochi and will require some travel.
