Exhibition Intern

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to join us as a Curatorial Intern at the Dolls Gallery. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our team to curate engaging exhibitions, focusing on cultural diversity through the lens of traditional dolls and their associated histories.

This internship opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with our team to weave compelling cultural narratives and ensure accurate representation in every project.

This is a full-time, paid position that requires on-site presence for a minimum duration of two months. If you have a passion for cultural heritage, storytelling, and creativity, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

  • Exhibition Planning
    Assist in the conceptualization and execution of exhibitions, ensuring representation.
    Develop exhibition layouts, ensuring visually appealing and educational presentations.
  • Content Development
    Write and present descriptive labels, catalogue entries, and digital content for exhibits.
    Create interactive and educational materials for critical thinking.
  • Project Coordination
    Support the team in budgeting, sourcing materials, and preparing project proposals.
    Help manage exhibition timelines and logistics.

  • Current student or graduate in History, Museology, Art History, or a related field.
  • Strong research and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or design software (preferred).
  • A keen interest in cultural heritage and storytelling.

  • Hands-on experience in curatorial work and exhibition planning.
  • Mentorship from experienced professionals, including the Museum Director.
  • Opportunities to contribute meaningfully to cultural preservation.

Full-time position based in Kochi
