About the Speaker
Dr. Shamshad Hussain K. T. is a professor in the Department of Malayalam at the Tirur Regional Center, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit. She has held various academic roles, including serving as a Syndicate, Senate, and Academic Council Member at the University of Calicut (2019-2023) and as an Academic Council Member at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit since 2019. She is also a member of the Board of Studies at Malayalam University (since 2021) and has contributed to several editorial boards, including UGC CARE-listed journals.
Her research focuses on the linguistic and cultural traditions of Mappila Muslims in Kerala, gender studies, and the history of the Malabar region.
