ABOUT THE TALK:
Architect Jacob Cherian began sketching at the age of 12, capturing people, trees, and places, eventually moving on to buildings and streets. Over a span of fifteen years, through school and graduation, his sketchbook became the most valuable tool in his life-long journey in observation, analysis, and design.
In this talk, Jacob shares how drawing is a way of seeing, how travel and sketching shaped his architectural thinking, and how after a three-decade pause he has returned to live sketching, reconnecting with the practice that formed the foundation of his design language.
